ACE Mentor Program is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), “free after school program” where High School Students in the New Hampshire area can now benefit from a nationwide program designed to introduce them to the wide range of career opportunities open to young people in architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas of the building design and construction industry.
Students meet on a weekly basis during the school year (typically October thru February) called “Sessions” where Student teams work directly with professionals from leading area Firms (Mentors), who volunteer their time to mentor the teams as they design hypothetical projects, exciting, rewarding careers in building design and construction industry.
For students, it’s a unique chance to discover and develop new skills, solidify future goals and get on track to exciting, rewarding careers. In addition, many students form positive relationships with industry professionals who can provide important references for obtaining college admissions, scholarships, internships and full-time employment.
Our program features a new challenge every year that vary from adding design features to real projects within NH, to filling community needs by recycling shipping containers, to programming new buildings with a full Schematic Design working the same way an AEC professional would. Students will use Revit and perform professional-led activities introducing them to different job pathways within the field and attend field trips to jobsites or Autodesk yearly.They are able to present their project competing against other schools to showcase their work and knowledge gained at the end of the year to other industry leaders beginning to build early network connections in the industry and win scholarships towards college/trade school or other educational needs.
Many ACE affiliates culminate their program year with special events at which teams present their concepts to Mentors, Sponsors, Government officials, families, teachers and community leaders.

MENTORS:
ACE NH continues actively seeking MENTORS to assist us with our growing ACE Student Programs (weekly Sessions typically occur one day a week, usually from 2:30pm-4:00pm, typically starting in October and running through February with the presentation in March).
MENTOR COMMITTEE:
ACE NH is also creating a MENTOR Committee and we are actively seeking Committee Members – if you are interested, please contact ACE NH.
