Casey has mentored for 14 of the Seattle affiliate’s 18 years. His popularity with students makes them eager to return to be on his team. They report he empowers and inspires them. One former student recently became a mentor herself. Outside of ACE, Casey leads students to participate in special events like a popsicle-stick bridge competition at a local museum. He also inspires mentors to give more than their time. For two years, he challenged mentors to donate funds for a scholarship, raising several thousand dollars.
