Dave Robar, AIA
Director/Vice President, Vocon
Cleveland, OH
Along with his responsibilities as the director and VP at Vocon, Dave has served the ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland as a mentor, a teacher, and an active member of the Advisory Council and the Board of Directors since 2013. He continues to lead the ACE Mentor Golf Classic, now in its 14th season, raising over $500,000.00. As a mentor, Dave has worked with students at James Ford Rhodes High School, presenting architectural concepts, as well as his highly popular annual sketch class, that are relatable, engaging and fun. But his influence extends well beyond the classroom. As an inaugural member of ACE Cleveland’s Advisory Council and Chapter President of AIA Cleveland, Dave has found a way to connect these two organizations’ outreach efforts. Today, 100% of funds developed through AIA Cleveland’s annual Sandcastle Festival are directed to the ACE Cleveland Scholarship program. Likewise, through Dave’s Board leadership within the real estate trade group known as NAIOP, he has helped establish an ongoing connection between Northern Ohio NAIOP Charities and ACE Cleveland.
