Carlos Gonzalez is Clark Construction’s Regional Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of the Western Region – South. He is responsible for all business and operations functions for Clark in Southern California.
Carlos has been in construction since 1995. He joined Clark in 2001 on PETCO Park in San Diego. He then led Clark's teams on the Caltrans District 11 HQ in San Diego the VA San Diego Hospital Seismic Retrofit, the UCI McGaugh Hall, and Pacific Beacon (a $250million Design-Build Public-Private-Partnership).
As Vice President for Clark Construction was responsible for construction operations, preconstruction and business development in the San Diego region.
From 2010 through 2013, as Project Director, Carlos led the $450million Design-Build delivery of the new Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton; a project completed 6-months ahead of schedule and $100million under budget.
Since the completion of the Pendleton Hospital Carlos has been leading Clark Concrete Contractors. A self-perform business unit delivering cast-in-place concrete in the Mid-Atlantic region, Clark Concrete employs as many as 1,000 craftworkers ( carpenters, laborers, cement finishes, operating engineers ) and delivers more than 250,000cy of concrete every year.
Carlos is a Board Member with ACE Mentor National, has been a volunteer and Board Member with ACE and Rebuilding Together in San Diego; Chairman of the Foundations For Success Committee of AGC San Diego, and a member of the Advisory Board for SDSU. Carlos also has served as the Chair of Clark's Project Manager’s Steering Committee, as a mentor on their Project Engineer’s Boot Camp, and has been both a participant and a mentor in Clark's BUiLD program.
