Student Summer Experiences

2025 Build Up High School Internships — due 4/18/25

Mortenson Externship:
This is an 8-week rotational externship starting in June 2025. You will have exposure to field and office work. To apply to this externship, you must fill out the company’s interest form here.

Farnsworth Group:
Internship opportunities can be found on this page. They have offices in Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Denver (Greenwood Village) the opportunities will vary by location. There are also offices around the U.S.

Turner Construction:
Turner Construction is a North America-based, international construction services company and is a leading builder in diverse markets. Experiences are available in Denver-metro area and start on 6/2/2025. They would like the students for 4 weeks, 20 hours a week 6/2-6/27. Prefer students who are 18 but will consider less than 18. There are three positions available.

BrightView:
BrightView is the nation’s leading commercial landscape company. The summer experience will include a dive into the full life cycle of BrightView’s services, including landscape architecture, estimating, field operations, project management, sales and business financials. This experience will be in Parker, CO and starts 6/2/2025 for two weeks, 40 hours a week. Students must be 16 years or older and have their own transportation. There is one position available. Students will be participating in projects in the Denver area.

Martin/Martin:
Martin/Martin is a Civil and Structural Engineering firm located in Lakewood, CO. We are seeking an ACE intern who is interested in civil or structural engineering. The intern must be able to work 20 hours/week for 4 weeks during the summer in the Lakewood office. These weeks do not have to be consecutive. There is one position open.

Ryan Companies:
At Ryan Companies, we believe the value of the buildings we design, develop, finance, manage and construct is about more than dollars and cents – it’s also about the value they bring to the people who use them and the communities that surround them. That’s why we focus first on the “why” so we can give life to your vision and achieve the best possible outcome. Ryan Companies is offering one ACE Summer Experience opening with our Construction Operations team. This experience will be in our Denver office starting after 06/02/2025 for two to four weeks. This experience is for 80 hours total at an hourly rate of $15 per hour.

Galloway & Company:
Galloway & Company is an architecture, engineering and survey firm, providing a Full-Spectrum Approach™ to create exceptional project solutions. This experience is for a design intern and will take place in Greenwood Village, CO. The position will be for 4 weeks, 20 hours a week. They are flexible on the start time. Students can choose one discipline to work with during the internship. Students should be Juniors or Seniors and have Revit experience if interested in working with the architecture team. There is one position available.

Summer Camps

Camp at CU Denver

ACE will be hosting a camp at CU Denver this summer. To learn more about the camp, click here. ACE CO will be providing three summer camp scholarships to this camp to Active ACE students. You may apply to one of these scholarships in the ACE portal here.

Fallingwater Summer Camp

Join us for a week-long educational program that combines fun, challenging studio activities with exploration of an architectural masterpiece. Fallingwater Institute High School Residencies are led by teaching architects and teaching artists, suitable for high school  students who are interested in architecture, art, construction, design, and engineering.
