Colin Powell, Surprise Speaker at Anniversary Dinner

ACE's Past and Future Toasted at Anniversary Dinner

Four-hundred (400) ACE board members, affiliate leaders, mentors, students, and parents from as far away as Honolulu celebrated ACE’s quarter century of accomplishments and toasted ACE’s success for the next 25 years.  Full details of the May 14 event can be read in the dinner program.  Photos and other event details can be seen here.

All Affiliates Conference
Ninety (90) leaders and mentors from 44 affiliates shared best practices and learned about ACE National’s new developments during the fifth All Affiliates Conference, May 15-16. View the conference program and copies of presentations here.
Exciting National Design Competition Finals

The 2019 CIRT National Design and Construction Competition jury needed two rounds of balloting to select the first-place winner at the finalist event on May 14. 
 
For an unprecedented second-year in a row, the Central Iowa team placed first. Team 30 from the Greater New York affiliate ranked second, and the Hawaii affiliate team was third.   Read more details here.
 

2019 Outstanding Mentors

Five mentors have been recognized as 2019 ENR-ACE Outstanding Mentors.

  • Kent Kaewwaen, Los Angeles/Orange County
  • William Ketchen, Rochester, NY
  • Samantha Raburn Markham, Dallas/Fort Worth (Plano/Frisco chapter)
  • Brooke Robbins, Northeast Florida (Jacksonville)
They received their awards at the 25th Anniversary dinner on May 14 and were joined by 12 previous Outstanding Mentors.  Read about them here.
 

25 ACE Students Win $400K in Scholarships
Twenty-five (25) students – from Phoenix to Portland (Maine) and Seattle to Jacksonville (Florida) – have won $400K through the CMiC – Allen Berg Memorial Scholarship program.  Scholarships varied between $10K and $40K, depending on need.   View the list of winners and the universities where they will apply their scholarships.
