Emily Nelson
Milwaukee, WI

Emily is an HVAC design engineer at Grunau Company, where she has been employed since graduating from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2015. She is one of six founding mentors from ACE Milwaukee’s first year as an affiliate in 2017. Emily had never been involved with the ACE program prior, but she jumped right in and quickly became a “go to” mentor. She carries a genuine interest in helping others and building meaningful relationships with her mentees. She always has time for them and always has a smile on her face. Emily became a lead mentor in 2018 and accepted a junior position on the ACE Milwaukee Board of Directors in 2019. Three of her former ACE mentees have gone on to work under her supervision as interns at Grunau. Emily is passionate about ACE. She is passionate about her mentees. She is passionate about her fellow mentors. Our chapter would not be as successful, and we would not have made an impact on so many young lives without Emily’s genuine care, countless hours, affectionate smile, and humble personality.
