John Pierce
Equinox Consulting Services LLC
John H. Pierce is the Principal of Equinox Consulting Services LLC. The firm provides strategic planning, implementation, leadership development and succession planning across the real estate, design, construction and facility management sectors. He has extensive experience managing real estate transactions, capital projects, facility operations and global programs across all market segments.
Previously, he was Advisory Director to Rockefeller Group’s Core Holdings senior management team. Before taking that role, he served as Senior Vice President, Asset Services, overseeing the Core Holdings portfolio operations in mid-town Manhattan. Prior to that position, he was Senior Vice President, Design & Construction, responsible for overseeing the delivery of design and construction services on a national basis.
Before joining Rockefeller Group, Mr. Pierce was Vice President of Real Estate and Facilities for Phoenix House, a non-profit substance abuse treatment organization with more than 100 locations spanning 12 states and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Phoenix House, he was the Vice President and Regional Manager for Turner Construction’s Latin American operations, responsible for providing project management and facilities consulting services throughout Central and South America.
Previously, Mr. Pierce was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, responsible for global space planning, infrastructure and capital projects. He joined Morgan Stanley after serving for many years as a construction executive with Hines. He began his career with Turner Construction, where combined with his more recent experience, he worked for a total of 15 years in construction and project management roles.
Mr. Pierce holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania and is a licensed real estate professional in New Jersey. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Pierce has served in leadership roles, on committees and boards for various philanthropic and educational organizations and institutions including ACE Mentor Program of America (Chair NYC Board), Phi Kappa Psi Foundation (Board of Directors), Habitat for Humanity (Chair Real Estate Council), Urban Assembly High School for Design & Construction, REBNY (Management Board), RICS (Americas Board), NYECC (Board), ULI (Mixed Use Council), ASCE, IFMA, BOMA, and Lafayette College (Alumni Council, Associate Trustee).
