Michael J. Choutka

Mr. Choutka is a 1991 Graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management Engineering. He has been with Hensel Phelps since then. He has worked in multiple regions during his tenure including Greeley, Colorado; Orlando, Florida; and Chantilly, Virginia.
His career began in the Plains District in Greeley, Colorado and after ten years of working through multiple positions, he became Operations Manager in 2001. In 2003 he relocated to the Southeast District and in 2005 he was named Vice President and Southeast District Manager responsible for all operations in the Southeast United States while managing the Orlando, Florida office.
Mr. Choutka was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2008, relocated to the Mid Atlantic District in 2011 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2015. In addition to leading corporate programs, he is currently responsible for the Mid Atlantic District (Chantilly), the Southeast District (Orlando) and Hensel Phelps Services, a facilities management division of Hensel Phelps which serves clients nationwide.
Active in industry associations for more than 20 years, Mr. Choutka served as Chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Central Florida Chapter in 2011. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the ABC, Virginia Chapter and is a National Trustee for the Free Enterprise Alliance for ABC National. He also holds a position on the National Board of Directors for the ACE Mentor Program and is a member of the Washington D.C. chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
